Exploring Creative Technologies in the Arts and Cultural & Creative Industries
Time & Location
11 Feb 2026, 10:00 – 15:00
London College of Communication RoomT701, Elephant and Castle, London SE1 6SB, UK
About the event
This workshop aims to explore the commonalities and distinctions in the infrastructural needs and data practices across arts-focused and related research communities. Those involved in the workshop will have the opportunity to engage with the emergent landscape of the UK's Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI), to input on infrastructural needs, and to identify opportunities for collaboration and future development.
The workshop is organised as part of the UKRI-DRI-funded DISKAH project. The network aims to widen access to digital research infrastructure, including high-performance computing, within the arts and humanities communities. In doing so, it also seeks to overcome interdisciplinary siloes towards innovative approaches to data, high-performance computing (HPC), and code libraries within these communities. The workshop will be an opportunity to explore how approaches to data-oriented, computationally informed research skills, alongside other key resource requirements, effectively address the needs of the broader landscape of arts, culture, social sciences, creative industries, and humanities.
This workshop is by invitation only.
